Our Mini Grant Program has grown, and grant
recipients have been hard at work with creative
projects, presentations, and enrichment
programs for our students.
This is the Foundation's third year for
awarding grants to innovative programs in
the Haverford Township School District.
In this time, we've received a dozens of
excellent proposals. Some take existing
programs to a higher level, others look
to form partnerships in areas not normally
associated. All of the Mini-Grants are fine
examples of the excellence in education
and forward thinking that makes Haverford
Township School District the great school
system that it is. We hope that many of
these programs will be prototypes for District-wide
programs in the future.
Thanks to the generosity of the dedicated
parents who supported the Oakmont school
until its closing last year, the Foundation
was able to establish an additional program:
The Oakmont Grant is a new grant specifically
designed to fund those projects that are
most likely to benefit groups of students
that include Oakmont alumnus/alumnae and
embody the essence of the Oakmont PTOs
community spirit and its focus on the enrichment
of the school experience for an entire student
body. The deadline for 2007 Spring proposals
has passed, but we'll be ready to accept
new proposals in the fall.

A young Coopertown poet searches for the
just the right words to reflect his inspiration
from a picture of a moonlit night. He's
one of dozens of third graders at Coopertown
Elementary to benefit from a workshop from
poet J.C. Robb this fall -- funded by the
a grant from the Haverford Township School
District Education Foundation.
